TESTIMONIALS

Last Fall a friend posted somebody cream made by someone in my small community. I love supporting small local businesses, so I contacted them to purchase some for myself. When they delivered the body cream, they also gave me some mini greens they grew themselves to try. They told me a little bit about the health benefits and nutritional content. I thanked them, but basically rolled my eyes, of course…. I am 52 years old and that happens more than it used to. At the time, I did not pay much attention to the nutrition I was providing my body. By later that winter I had finally decided I needed to take control of my body and my health. I started making myself a priority bit by bit. Like so many people I had been busy taking care of everyone else. I realized I was only getting bigger and likely putting my health at risk. Nine years ago, I fought a grueling battle with breast cancer. I came out the other side feeling stronger, emotionally, than I had ever imagined I could be. But while I was enjoying every aspect of life that I possibly could, I realized that the simplest things were getting harder for me to do because of my extra weight. Not to mention I was disgusted with myself and did not like the way that made me feel. It occurred to me that I owed it to my Maker to take better care of the life I had been given a second chance at living. I realized I had made food my love language and used it to show everyone how much I cared for them. I had parties and celebrations often and made lots of yummy food, but the food wasn’t doing anyone any good. Food is fuel for our bodies….. I had to get a grip on that simple concept. And I finally did! It started in my head with how I think about what I am putting in my body and why. Once I started making better choices the weight started to come off. I started walking the dog every day and focusing on getting a minimum of 7,000 – 10,000 steps in each day. During this progression of changing the way, I look at food and my body I kept seeing Mini Green Things Facebook Posts. When spring arrived, I made my way to the Farmer’s Market in Bennet and bought some to try again. I talked to Robin about her informational posts and could NOT believe there were these tiny little things that could provide so many nutritional benefits. I have been eating them almost every single day since! I look forward to seeing her posts about the specific benefits of each type, and pictures of interesting ways to incorporate them into my daily menu. I also appreciate her positivity and genuine compassion and way of sharing and caring for people. I had been a skeptic about healthy lifestyles in general for a very long time and truthfully it was because I was overweight and too lazy to make good choices. Now I am making great choices and I literally feel the benefits every single day from doing so! My energy is higher than it has ever been! My skin is glowing, and I have not been sick in almost 2 years! I am 50 pounds lighter, at a healthy BMI, and have found my personal confidence again. Honestly, that is the best outcome of all because it allows me to be healthy inside. That is something so easy to overlook because it is not visual, but it is the absolute most important thing we should all strive to achieve. I am a better person, a better spouse, a better friend, and a much better dog Mom! I am now able to show my love for life and those I care so much about in new and better ways now that I am healthy inside and out, and happier than I’ve been in years! I want to thank Mini Greens for helping me get to this place by educating me and providing top-quality nutrition grown right here in the Village we call home! Their dedication, hard work, and compassion for others helped me, and is doing the same for so many others.
