Jared, a small-town kid from Cortland, Nebraska was raised learning how to grow vegetables under his mother and grandmother’s wings and it was something he incorporated into adulthood. Each year he produces a garden full of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, herbs, and other crops of interest. In the early winter of 2020, he was researching how to bring his garden inside when he came across a thing called “microgreens”. These tiny vegetables were new to him and he was quick to introduce the tiny plants to his girlfriend, Robin. She, being the health-conscious one, quickly became very intrigued by how these mini leaves might be able to improve their overall health and help them achieve their fitness goals.
Robin, from Brantford, Ontario, and always concerned with maintaining a nutritious diet, was influenced by her grandparents, mother, father, and aunts. From the age of ten, she was fascinated by the benefits that vegetables and other foods could have in healing the body and for her, anything green was mother nature’s medicine
